Macedonian Empowerment Foundation is dedicated to poverty reduction, community-based institutional development, and employment creation. The Foundation focuses on empowering marginalized individuals—particularly widows and other vulnerable groups—by providing access to economic opportunities, financial inclusion, education, and social enlightenment

To date, MEF has registered over 10,000 potential beneficiaries, including more than 1,000 widows, some of whom are already benefiting from periodic financial assistance in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Nigeria. Through these interventions, MEF seeks to restore dignity, promote self-reliance, and foster inclusive community development

MEF actively seeks and welcomes partnerships that align with its mission and strategic objectives. In pursuit of sustainable impact, the Foundation has initiated collaborations with reputable local and national organizations, including

MEF is registered with AHEF to deliver quality humanitarian services to Nigerians under the Federal Government’s Labour Employment and Empowerment Programme (LEEP). Under this collaboration, MEF operates within the Medical and Scholarship components of the Special Sector Partnership framework

MEF is in the process of a strategic partnership with TGC to establish an ultra-modern organic raw cashew nuts processing factory in Nigeria. TGC has committed to funding the project, and MEF has submitted a comprehensive business plan for the proposed facility, which is planned to be located in Kogi State. This initiative is expected to generate employment, enhance value-chain development, and promote sustainable agro-industrial growth

MEF is partnering with Strong Towers Cooperative Society Limited ( STC), an indigenous Multipurpose Cooperative Society dedicated to promotion of child education, community and small and medium scale enterprises.

Macedonian Empowerment Foundation aims to significantly expand its empowerment and employment creation activities by leveraging funding opportunities, institutional partnerships, and development platforms provided through AHEF, TGC and other willing funding organizations and platforms that align with our focus. MEF remains committed to driving inclusive growth, strengthening community resilience, and improving the socio-economic well-being of vulnerable populations across Nigeria

Over the past two years, Macedonian Empowerment Foundation (MEF) has implemented a Child Education Support Programme aimed at enhancing access to basic learning materials for pupils in public primary schools. The programme focuses on first-year students in Universal Basic Education (UBE) schools in Kogi State through the distribution of free, customized exercise books

To date, two UBE schools have benefited from this intervention. The programme was implemented in collaboration with Strong Towers Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society Limited and was piloted across selected Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Kogi State. This initiative supports early learning, improves classroom participation, and eases the financial burden on low-income families

The UBE Junior Secondary School, Sarkin Noma in Lokoja LGA is the second school to benefit from the Child Education Support Programme of Macedonian Empowerment Foundation under collaborative arrangement with Strong Towers Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society Limited (STC). AS captured in the photographs below, first year students of the school were provided with free exercise books during the immediate past academic term

In line with its commitment to supporting vulnerable populations, MEF launched a Widows Support Programme in 2023 in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State. The Foundation identified and enlisted 1,000 widows across the 11 wards of the LGA, with the objective of providing skills development and financial empowerment.

In 2024, MEF commenced periodic financial assistance in partnership with an overseas-based passionate individual, initially supporting 60 widows with stipends of ₦10,000 each. Within the same year, the programme expanded to reach a total of 90 widows. MEF plans to progressively increase the
number of beneficiaries as additional funding becomes available, with the long-term goal of enhancing economic self-reliance and social inclusion among widows in the community

MEF has launched SDGs Awareness Campaigns among Secondary Schools students within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja Nigeria
